The Climate Resilience Community of Practice is a one-of-a-kind working group located in Victoria, BC designed for professionals who want to:

We will work collaboratively towards embedding resilience, regenerative philosophy, and adaptability into the foundation of your organization or initiative. This work can serve as your contribution towards meaningful systemic change.

Every month members will participate in:

Optional work sessions with facilitators and other participants

Commitment

We ask that participants commit participating for a minimum of 3-months to maintain group continuity and navigate through a complete content cycle.

Monthly Roundtable Discussion (In-Person, 3rd Thursday of the Month)

Our core gathering is a professionally facilitated roundtable discussions where members tackle real-world challenges together. A brief workshop / talk will proceed the discussion offered by one of Climate Paradigms skilled facilitators. The monthly round table will follow the format defined below:
Additional space will be provided after the session and during the month for community members to have breakout discussions and work through complex problems with optional support from Climate Paradigm’s team of facilitators.  
 
An additional ‘intake session’ will occur every 3-months separate from the roundtable to onboard new community members, set context, and teach fundamental communication skills which foster constructive conversation in the group.

Who is This For?

If you are a professional, of any kind, who is actively interested finding paradigm shifting ways of doing business in the corporate world, this group is the place for you to hone those ideas.

Our Facilitators

Our team consists of a wide range of interdisciplinary facilitators working on systemic change at a corporate level from a variety of different perspectives. The team is lead by Nick Couture (Founder of Climate Paradigm Collaborative) who’s bio can be found on our about page. A full roster of facilitators for 2025 is coming soon and will include expert specializing in scope 3 emissions consulting, empathetic design, improvisation, environmental humanities, corporate resilience, JEDI, decolonization, and corporate social responsibility.

Who are the other participants?
Our community is made up of professionals, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from diverse industries—including tech, engineering, finance, and public service. While participants have different backgrounds, they share a common interest in navigating uncertainty, improving decision-making, and leading change within their organizations.
What topics can I bring to the roundtable?
Most topics are welcome at the group as long as they are brought in a compassionate and respectful way. If you are struggling to find a topic or dilemma, our expert facilitators will help you find and clarify challenges worth exploring—whether they relate to your career, leadership, or organization. Examples include:
    1. Getting buy-in on environmental or social initiatives from teams / leadership resistant to change.
    2. Managing differing opinions on global issues that prevent constructive open discussion from occurring without disrupting moral
    3. Learning how to better manage the mental well-being and empowerment of your team in a world saturated uncertainty and struggle. 
    4. Developing strategies for not only changing your own business strategy but influencing your entire industry / supply chain to do better. 
    5. Using lateral thinking to move beyond social and economic constraints limiting your ability to make positive change through your work.

How much time do I need to commit?
The minimum commitment is three months, which includes:
    1. One monthly roundtable session (2 hours).
    2. One monthly 1-on-1 coaching session (1 hour).
    3. Optional engagement in ongoing discussions, networking, and additional breakout sessions.
What if I can’t attend every session?
We understand that conflicts arise. While consistent participation is encouraged, you can still benefit from 1-on-1 coaching and asynchronous engagement with the community. Our facilitators are happy to spend extra time during 1-on-1 sessions updating participants on key group insights. 
How is this different from a traditional networking group?
This is not a passive networking event—it’s an active problem-solving space where members collaborate on real-world challenges. Instead of transactional connections, you’ll build meaningful, long-term professional relationships with peers tackling similar challenges.
